2021 recap and Kentucky news
Our Christmas letter (below) was completed and mailed prior to the Tornados that went through Kentucky so they are not mentioned in the letter. Many have called to see if they can help and what Kingdom Investors is doing there.
Short term we are helping to support first response with Convoy Of Hope. Convoy is set up in Mayfield and delivering supplies daily. We also have some friends that are delivering toys, blankets and new clothing in the next two weeks.
Long term we are establishing relationships with a couple of churches in Mayfield and Dawson Springs where we can help families going forward with rebuilding teams as well as sponsoring individual family’s needs. This will be a multi-year rebuilding effort and we will be involved.
If you want to donate now you can through Kingdom Investors at our website, www.kingdominvestors.info or go direct to Convoy of Hope or Samaritans Purse. Both of these organizations are already sharing space in a church in Mayfield, cleaning up and ministering in multiple surrounding towns. You will get a much better return on your investment with either of these great organizations than you might with some larger government organizations.
If you do want to go now to help remove debris, Samaritan’s Purse is coordinating volunteers on their cleanup crews. We hope this helps and please keep the families there and the workers in your prayers.
Thanks George Warren
Nothing but praise and thanksgiving this year as we say thanks and wish each of you a Merry Christmas. Covid can’t stop what God wants to accomplish, and with His help and your generosity this has been an amazing year for Kingdom Investors.
We are so thankful for your partnership in giving and your trust in Kingdom Investors. You helped us meet all our financial commitments to feed children and help restore families this year as well as take two new exiting projects this fall.
Locally, we again provided thousands of pounds of food, school supplies and gifts to families in our local Washington DC area. Capitol Heights Teen Challenge Rehab Center continues to give new life to young men. More men graduated from the program this year than ever before. We are currently being held up with the permitting process for the second house but hope to break ground next year. We also continued with local support to Gigi’s Playhouse and No More Stollen Childhoods.
Internationally, we are feeding and educating hundreds of children in India, Haiti, the Philippians, and Central America through Convoy of Hope and Kids against Hunger.
We put a new well and water system in Happy Horizons Childers ranch with Builders International. And again, this year with Project Rescue, we helped free hundreds of women and children from brothels as their business again slowed from Covid 19 fears. Project Rescue is fighting hard to stop trafficking and keep young girls out of prostitution. We are proud to be able to partner with them in this endeavor. The two new projects I mentioned are a Medical/Dental Clinic for an orphanage in Bangladesh and a new Home of Hope in India (in an old brothel). These are with Builders International and Project Rescue respectively. We are very excited about our partnerships with both of these great organizations. Lastly, we were able to get in two disaster relief trips in 2021. To the Abaco rebuilding a kid’s camp and another trip to Lake Charles LA. In both places we were able to share the love of Jesus in tangible ways as we rebuild what had been devastated by hurricanes. |
