Dear Friends ,
Wow, what a year! Still, with all the challenges, you all have been so faithful to help us meet our commitments to feed children and help restore families. For that, I just need to say THANK YOU and wish you a Merry Christmas. We want to express sincere gratitude to each of you for your generosity. You have helped Kingdom Investors touch more lives in 2020 than ever before. Below is just a sample of some of the help you provided through your financial support.
Locally, we have provided thousands of pounds of food along with clothing, school supplies, and gifts to families in our local areas of Washington DC, West Virginia, and Anne Arundel and Prince George’s Counties. Our partnership with our Capitol Heights Teen Challenge rehabilitation center continues to give new life to young men. Next year we hope to help them expand to a second home. We had two new ministry friends at our June Tournament, Gigi’s Playhouse, which serves families affected by Down syndrome, and Bethany Christian Services, which helps foster children become adopted. We also continued our support to No More Stolen Childhoods, who help heal the effects of child abuse.
Internationally, we are continuing to feed children through feeding programs in Kolkata India, Haiti, the Philippines, and Central America through Convoy of Hope and others.
This year had one unexpected blessing, working with Project Rescue, we were able to help free hundreds of women and children from brothels as their business slowed from Covid-19 fears. Unfortunately, the trafficking industry continued to grow as the pornography market flourished because of the lockdowns. Project Rescue is fighting hard to stop trafficking and keep young girls out of prostitution while rescuing children from brothels.
Lastly, we were able to complete two disaster relief mission trips in 2020. One to the Grand Bahamas in March just before Covid hit and one to Lake Charles, Louisiana in November. In both places, we were able to share the love of Jesus in tangible ways as we helped rebuild homes that had been devastated by hurricanes. We hope to be taking a second trip to both areas in the spring of 2021. Please consider joining us on one of these trips and for our June and October Golf events.
